DOOM Creator says that the Next Generation is "At least 10 times more powerful"

Following the declaration of U.S. analysts that the Wii U will be about 50% more powerful than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the air was the expectation on the processing power of the inevitable PS4 and Xbox 720 (if they have those names), which should be launched within the next two or three years.

If the escalation of technology is taken into account, we really impressive systems in the near future. According to John Carmack, creator of the great classics of video games like Doom and Quake, Rage and already anticipated, the next generation of home consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be up to ten times more powerful than today.

During an interview with Eurogamer, Carmack said that "the next generation will be among us soon in a couple of years. It will be ten times more powerful than this generation. I would be surprised if it does not last more than a decade before people came to the conclusion that they have already reached the full potential of it for games. "

Treat with suspicion this comment. Although the graphics technology has really advanced in recent years, there are many factors into consideration when launching a console so high processing capacity, and the principal is the relationship between cost and suggested retail price, which can ward off the players and / or cause injury for manufacturing companies.

Moreover, concerning the time, Microsoft should even show off your new console at E3 next year, with a launch planned for 2013, but the Sony - although he has admitted to be working on the successor of the PS3 - it has a 10-year plan to your current system, which would put the release of the PS4 only for the year 2014.
