First Saint Seiya Chronicles Screenshots

This week's issue of Weekly Famitsu has a big feature on PS3's Saint Seiya Senki, but you won't have to pick up the magazine for a first look. Check out Famitsu.com for a bunch of screens from this first HD adaptation of the anime and Jump manga.

Developed by Dimps and produced by Akira Sanoe, Saint Seiya Senki gives you control of the likes of Cygnus Hyoga, Dragon Shiryu, Andromeda Shun, Pegasus Seiya and Phoenix Ikki. Unfortunately, neither Famitsu.com nor Weekly Famitsu shared gameplay specifics aside from what appears to be obvious in the screens: you'll be facing off against multiple enemies on the battle field. The game is described in Weekly Famitsu as "Cinematic Melee Action."

A first trailer is scheduled to be released later today, so we should get a better idea of how the game plays shortly. Weekly Famitsu listed the game as being 60% complete with release due for this Fall.

DOOM Creator says that the Next Generation is "At least 10 times more powerful"

Following the declaration of U.S. analysts that the Wii U will be about 50% more powerful than the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the air was the expectation on the processing power of the inevitable PS4 and Xbox 720 (if they have those names), which should be launched within the next two or three years.
If the escalation of technology is taken into account, we really impressive systems in the near future. According to John Carmack, creator of the great classics of video games like Doom and Quake, Rage and already anticipated, the next generation of home consoles from Sony and Microsoft will be up to ten times more powerful than today.

During an interview with Eurogamer, Carmack said that "the next generation will be among us soon in a couple of years. It will be ten times more powerful than this generation. I would be surprised if it does not last more than a decade before people came to the conclusion that they have already reached the full potential of it for games. "

Treat with suspicion this comment. Although the graphics technology has really advanced in recent years, there are many factors into consideration when launching a console so high processing capacity, and the principal is the relationship between cost and suggested retail price, which can ward off the players and / or cause injury for manufacturing companies.

Moreover, concerning the time, Microsoft should even show off your new console at E3 next year, with a launch planned for 2013, but the Sony - although he has admitted to be working on the successor of the PS3 - it has a 10-year plan to your current system, which would put the release of the PS4 only for the year 2014.

Wii U – Enjoy Single Player!

Wii-U-1

Recently, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata recently confirmed that the Wii U will only support one controller per console.

Regarding the controllers, earlier this week Iwata told Nintendo shareholders:

“In the future, we may look at what other opportunities there are for gameplay and, how having two of those controllers might create fun or interesting new styles of play, but of course in doing that, it would require a consumer to purchase an additional controller. “Therefore, we would need to carefully consider how we could create such an experience and, potentially, how we could ensure that there would be enough value within that experience for the consumer to accept that cost and make that purchase.”

The executive told Japanese business site Diamond Online: “There’s a cost issue. Technically, it is possible for the Wii U to support multiple Wii U controllers,” but doing so would lead to a “considerable” price increase.

“We’re not planning on asking our customers to buy multiple Wii U controllers,” Iwata added.
